Blending Britpop-inspired melodies and towering classic tones, Big Wheels ride the storm of a ‘hurricane’ kind of person with their latest modern rock anthem. The Sydney based 4-piece have just completed a 10-date sold out Aus tour with Perth indie rockers DICE. In July, they fly to the UK for 4 shows in London as recipients of the Sofar Sounds artist residency program. Here they will record their next two singles. Hurricane Therapy was engineered by Australian Producer Izaac Wilson of The Grove Studios. Wilson is notable for his work with DZ Deathrays, Tia Gostelow, The Moving Stills and Rum Jungle. Their previous single ‘Colourblind’, recorded with Wilson, featured on BBC Radio’s Introducing whilst also received play on Triple J Home & Hosed, FBi Radio & 3RRR at home. The band have previously supported San Cisco, Jack Botts, Pacific Avenue, & Kim Churchill. Upon return to Aus, Big Wheels will announce their debut EP accompanying by a national headline tour for November this year.
